Food : no doubt about it, the tourist restaurants are to be avoided at any price; the taverns (Taverna) are a much better bet.

Greek cuisine is composed mainly of fresh produce. Breakfast is usually just coffee, sometimes with a piece of fruit, some bread and cheese or a yoghurt made from goat’s milk and sweetened with honey.
